7 stages of being a Bridesmaid!
The Bride has just popped the question, this is all too much excitement! One of the girls is getting married, there are so many fun things to plan, when can we get started!!!?
2. The actual planning
After the initial buzz of being asked to be a bridesmaid, realisation sinks in that you actually need to help the Bride out a bit… wow, this wasn’t in the job spec, was it?
3. Dress choosing
NEVER will a group of girls agree on one bridesmaid dress. Sometimes the Bridesmaids are given a lot of choice in their dress but be warned, the Bride always has the final say, and if she wants you in the long sleeve bright yellow frilly dress, then you wear the long sleeve bright yellow frilly dress!
The Bride just dropped the bombshell that you’ll be paying for your own shoes, bag, makeup and hair. All of sudden the costs start to sink in, a hen night abroad as well as a hen night in the UK, accommodation at the wedding venue, gifts for the Bride, hen party tat, the list goes on…
The group of best friends has slowly turned into one big bloodbath of bitchiness and hate. You can’t physically fit in another dress fitting MIDWEEK, no one can settle on a date for the hen do, someone’s brand new boyfriend hasn’t been given a plus one. Ibroprufen please! In fact, make that a tequila!
6. The hen party
Finally, the best part of the entire wedding, the hen party! We promise this will make all the stress worthwhile. So much alcohol and laughs to be had, mainly at the expense of the Bride.
7. The Wedding
The wedding is finally here, you all eventually fit into your dresses after numerous tantrums and extreme diets, so now it’s time to strut in looking like the most slamming girl squad there ever was!
