Seven suggestions for staying stress free when planning your wedding…
7 – TAKE TIME FOR YOU!
We know it might be easier said than done, but you need to make sure you take a little bit of time out for yourself. Why not have a full pamper night with a face mask and a hot bubble bath? Or go the whole hog and book in a spa day with your bridesmaids. Go on – treat yourself, you know you deserve it!
6 – WRITE DOWN HOW YOU’RE FEELING…
Keeping track of your feelings will allow you to process exactly what it is that’s stressing you out. It also means you won’t keep all of your negative energy bottled up – which can be really toxic. If you can pin point any of your major niggles, you’ll be able to control your anxiety and move on!
5 – ACCEPT AND UNDERSTAND THE NERVOUSNESS
Pre-wedding jitters are totally normal. You might be feeling slightly scared as the big day draws nearer. It’s pretty healthy to question the commitment that you’re making for a lifetime. Just because you’re feeling concern, it doesn’t mean you don’t want to get married… Confide in a friend about how you’re feeling. The transition from girlfriend, to fiancee, to wife is a tough one and you’re bound to put a lot of thought into it.
4 – KEEP FIT AND EAT HEALTHILY
This vest is just what you need to wear when keeping fit!
Exercise will release mood stabilising endorphins – you’ll stay happy and healthy in the run up to the big day. Feel like you don’t have time? Grab your groom and rehearse your first dance you’ll be working up a sweat in no time – there’s no excuses when it comes to keeping your body moving!
Who knows, you might just also feel that little bit more confident in your wedding dress if you tone up your trouble areas before the big day…
3 – DON’T STOP COMMUNICATING
It’s so common for brides to be to stop talking to their future husbands the way they did prior to getting engaged. Don’t lose sight of the reason why you’re marrying your groom – you two love each other! Schedule in a few date nights – get yourselves to the cinema, or even have a Netflix and chill night. Keep the love burning!!
2 – MAKE LISTS
Lists are a necessity when it comes to planning your wedding. You’ll have lists of lists of lists… They’ll help you stay super organised and you’ll get that joyous smug feeling as you cross off all of the stuff you’ve done! WIN!
1 – DELEGATE,DELEGATE, DELEGATE
There’s no way you’ll be able to manage everything in the run up to the big day. Unless of course you possess some kind of super hero power for time management skills! So our top tip is to delegate some of your tasks to others. Get your groom, bridesmaids and anyone who offers to help you out involved – after all who wants to be left to tie a hundred bows for favours on their own?! ?
