This is one of the prettiest and quirkiest weddings we’ve ever seen on Your Wedding Hub!
Sharron and John have been together 26 years. Sharron set up and helps to run a local dog charity – so she had to invite some of the pups along to share in her big day! Take a look at their amazing wedding.
The Ceremony Details
“We had our ceremony at Ashmount Country House, Haworth. We opted for an outdoor ceremony in the gardens and folly.”
“We wanted a more intimate feel, so we decided on a very small guest list of 48 of our nearest and dearest… and our dogs of course!”

The Bridal Party

“John chose to have his brother Stuart as his Best Man.”
“The Bridesmaids wore mint green maxi dresses from ASOS and New Look. We chose an ivory handmade dress with lots of tulle for our Flower Girl, which we found on Etsy. Our Page Boys wore tweed and beige linen suits.”
The Bride and Grooms Outfits
The Finer Details
“I made all of my own flowers including the bridesmaids bouquets and venue flowers. I had a vintage inspired cascading floral hand tied bouquet. I wanted to incorporate lots of ivy and greenery as well as roses and berries. Believe it or not, all of the flowers were silk/dried. They are very realistic looking as I used very good quality flowers…
“The Bridesmaids had hydrangea, white lilac and foliage with mint green ribbon to match there dresses. They also wore halo of ivy and small roses. Our Flower Girl had a halo of the same, but I added some asparagus fern too – she carried a rose pomander.”
“Everything was vintage inspired and I had flowers everywhere! I made a huge mirror table plan covered in lots of realistic flowers. All of the venue tables had silver vintage inspired 3 tier cake stands with peonies, hydrangea and garden roses.”
“We made the place card holders from plastic dogs found in Poundland and sprayed them silver! I help to run and established a dog rescue charity: Aireworth Dogs In Need. So I felt this was a nice touch.”
“For favours, the ladies were given Wedding Day Yankee Candles and the men were given a miniature bottle of Jägermeister.
We bought our wedding cake from Asda – it was £35.00! We covered it in ivy and it looked gorgeous.”

“You don’t need to spend a fortune to have the best of everything. I made many things myself to save money… Just take a deep breath and enjoy!”
