Did you hear about the bride who had a doughnut bouquet?
Yep, you read that right – this bride had an entire bouquet made out of doughnuts!
The ‘floury flowers’ were donated in a competition by Dessertbox, a company that specialise in creating alternative edible bouquets.
Paige Kirk, from Sydney Australia, was the first bride to take the unusual edible bouquets down the aisle.
The doughnuts were delicately decorated with an ivory glaze which matched perfectly with the bride’s dress…
When asked about the reaction, Paige said her guests “loved them”.
“Everyone thought it was hilarious, and the venue couldn’t believe it,” she said.
“Brides should be a bit more relaxed and have fun!”
Paige and her groom Steven have known each other for five years, and been together for three.
“We wanted the wedding to be a bit different and really reflect who we are as a couple,” she discussed.
Paige admitted she was shocked by the reaction the doughnut bouquet got, after thousands of people across the globe have commented on the pictures of her and her bridesmaids with their unusual doughnut bouquets since the wedding.
We think having a doughnut bouquet is an absolutely wonderful idea and wish the newlyweds all of the best for the future together – filled with lots of sweetness of course!
