Thank you to Charlotte and Gary for sharing your beautiful day with us!
This wedding has serious vintage chic vibes – there’s even a caravan photobooth – a first for Your Wedding Hub!
How He Asked…
“Gary proposed to me in Liverpool at The Smugglers Cove (a Pirate-themed bar/restaurant with vaulted ceilings famed for its rum cocktails) the proposal was made complete with a Build a Bear Teddy and a gorgeous heartfelt speech.”
The Ceremony Details…
“We decided on a Civil ceremony and invited 76 of our closest family and friends as our guests.
Both of our mums did a lovely reading (an edited reading) and Gary’s uncle also read ‘These I can promise you.'”
The Reception Details…
“All 76 of our guests joined us for our reception which was held at Brook Hall Hotel, Wirral. The hotel is nestled in the beautiful countryside of Childer Thornton, with over three acres of stunning landscaped gardens.
To eat we had Minestrone soup to start, Chicken with Mozzarella & Pancetta for mains, and dessert was Chocolate Fudge Cake with Ice Cream.”
The Wedding Party…
“Gary asked his cousins and my brothers to be Groomsmen.
My nephew was the ‘Ring Security’.
The guys wore ascot suits with purple neckwear to tie in with the bridesmaids.”
The bridesmaids wore purple multi tie dresses and silver shoes.
The Bride and Grooms outfits…
“I wore a dress by Mori Lee paired with a 3m lace veil.
I found some Vintage style shoes from Debenhams for the day, and switched them for personalised converse for the night.”
The Finer Details…
“Our theme was Vintage chic – we had birdcages as part of our table decorations. We chose to have Millie’s cookies as favours and had wooden cubes that were personalised.
We also had a Vintage caravan photobooth which kept the guests entertained for hours!”
What stands out most about your big day?
“Definitely our first dance – we did a mash up of songs.”
What advice would you give to other Brides / Grooms to be?
“Don’t stress about things going wrong – they will! Loads of mine went wrong before hand… Greenwoods went into liquidation, we were ripped off by videographer, my shoes arrived the wrong size, sweet cart cancelled, Hair & Make up lady had to cancel due to illness, and other things…
You need to keep calm and fix a problem at a time. Your day will be perfect no matter what happens. It all just comes together.”
Is there anything that you wish you knew before you tied the knot?
“That it goes so quick! Everyone says it but you don’t believe it… Make sure you take a bit of time for you and your husband.”
Charlotte and Gary would love it if you could ‘like’ this post on their photographers page – if you’re feeling generous head over and give them a like here.
