We love a good proposal story and this one is brilliant.
This couple’s romantic getaway to Iceland was cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak, but the hubby-to-be wasn’t going to let it stop him from proposing.
What he chose to do instead has got everyone talking…
Robert Ormsby, 58, wasn’t going to let coronavirus interrupt his engagement plans so came up with this creative idea instead.
On a shopping trip to their local Iceland Supermarket, amongst the frozen food aisles, Robert got down on one knee and popped the question.
This photo of Robert and fiancee, Patsy Murdoch, went viral on social media and Iceland responded by giving them an extra special treat!
On a Facebook Post, the Supermarket giant wrote: “During this uncertain time, we wanted to share some happy news with you!
“Congratulations to this lovely couple who got engaged in our Tonbridge store this week.
“He had planned to propose in Iceland but after their holiday was cancelled, he chose the next best thing…
“Enjoy your honeymoon to Iceland on us.”
How amazing is this story? It’s exactly the happy news we need right now – love cannot be cancelled!
